Emergency in Aisle 9

I sometimes forget the attention you draw when you are obviously pregnant (as opposed to the before-pregnancy-waddle).  Today at Costco, while walking through the produce section, I had a sudden stabbing pain.  Now, don't worry, I was sure I wasn't going in to labor.  BUT, when you are caught off guard by intense, uncomfortable pain during pregnancy you can't help but display a painful expression -- which is exactly what happened, accompanied by closing eyes, gripping stomach, and waiting for pain to pass.  Ready to resume my shopping, I selected a bunch of bananas and glanced over my shoulder as I placed them in the cart.  Watching me intently was a young couple I noticed walking towards me before the pain hit.  It struck me as funny since they looked ready and willing to call 911 at any moment.  I suppose before you have children any pregnant woman displaying pain is cause for immediate action.  It is good to know there are people out there ready to help a stranger in need, but lets hope that doesn't happen for another good two or three months!

Yikes! You're right though, having not had any children, I think I would've responded the same way as the young couple did. I guess you can take comfort in knowing there are a few good samaratins out there.

Just sort of kicks in my prayer instincts--Lord, protect Cerissa and sweet baby boy. Amen!

Okay, that is hilarious! Just wait until you have all three out, the stares continue! :)

Hope you haven't had any more painful moments in public lately! Take it easy this Christmas and try to stay off your feet. You've got precious cargo in there!

Carl really doesn't post on it, but he told me about your blog and I have enjoyed hearing about your family. Hope you have a wonderful New Year!

I like the new background. Simple and doesn't make me think of blood. And now, ahem - a new post, please? ;)

Yes, I've been taking a break from the blog...
Been feeling a bit overwhelmed with all the holiday hullaballo, but don't worry, I'm sure as soon as I get Christmas cards (or New Year's cards) done, I will be back to post again :)
